Additional Information

Vessel was completed in 1980 and was Coast Guard Certified during the entire building process. She is a documented vessel and has logged 30,000 blue water miles.  She was built out of Ferro Cement 1 mile from the Portland Cement factory in Seattle Washington. Portland High Early type 2 cement was applied from the inside out by pump and was steam cured by 1.5 million BTUs for 52 hours. The strength after 1 year was 12 psi. The steel Armature is 1/4 inch rebar on a 2inch center both vertical and horizontal with layers of 1/2 inch square welded copper flashed steel mesh. The interior of the hull is fiber glassed to a 1/4 inch and has 1inch of closed cell celled foam throughout. The Boat has logged over 30,000 miles around the world without any problems. The standing rigging is 3/8 stainless steel with all of the running rigging is 1/2 stainless. The winches are all solid stainless with self tailing. The mast are aluminum. and the deck is anti skid. She is powered by the economical and virtually indestructible Isuzu 4cyl diesel engine with only approximately 2,000 hrs. The drive line has oil cooler transmission cooler and a propeller after cooler. This keeps everything from getting hot and adds years to the life of the equipment. She has a velvet drive system with a full feathering and full reversing propeller. The whole system is protected with an onboard Halon fire suppression system with 3 other hand held 10lb extinguishers. There are 2 Rolls batteries with 10 year warranties on them that are connected to 2 alternators and a voltage monitoring system. The engine battery is charged by the 40 amp engine alternator.  The other is charged by the 100 amp leece Neville alternator. This alternator and battery system run the inverter and all the 12 volt electrical system on board. There is a 10.5 KW Westerbeke generator to take care of all of your 110 voltage when needed When you are on shore the power voltage monitor takes care of charging both batteries so when you are ready to go there is not a problem. There are (4)100 gal black iron USCG approved fuel tanks. There are 2 water heaters; one is from the engine and the other is 110 so you will always have hot water for 2 showers. The interior is all done in teak and there is a gas oven to cook on. The refrigerator is a commercial top loader with an extra 4 inches of foam to help keep everything cold. Has carpet in the front berth, but the rest is all teak flooring with plenty of room in the galley. This is definitely live aboard capable.
